I hate the modern way of living!
Isn't feeling sad and grieving over something part of living as well??
I still don't seem to understand the meaning of this video... I just want to make enough money to provide for my poor elderly parents (Dad is 81 and recently had a stroke and Mom is 71 and still working to help with expenses) and make myself happy but it's extremely hard...
this is powerful
it's so spectacularly weird how these things align, but the other day someone shared a short excerpt from the Bhagvad Gita with me and i think it really relates to this video- "Changes in external states make your ego insecure. The ego therefore struggles to prevent any change. If change gives the ego pleasure, then it will pursue change and struggle against stillness and stagnation. When unable to get its way, the ego experiences suffering and rage; it forces the body to reinstate things as they were. From this desire to make the world align to the ego's measuring scale come all pain and suffering and rage. Refusal to accept the flow of the world is the root of all misery. Thus it is with you, Arjuna. You want to control the world. You want the world to behave as you wish. It does not, hence your anger and your grief." Thank you for another helpful video, and congrats on 100k!!
Never in my 19 years of life I have ever listen to such a long vedio, but somehow I can't stop myself listening to your vedios because I think my soul is missing something that I should look for. I hope one day I would able to achieve my work of life and know the true meaning of life as you said earlier, "To learn how to live, is to learn how to die".
Welcome, I hope you stick around.
What are your thoughts on manifesting?
Helped me refine my thought processes through adversity, thank you 🙏🏻
I love his nose ❤
What do you think about christianity? Why don't you already make a crucial life step: from philosophy to christianity? We're waiting for you in the Catholic Church.
... because you need to
How can we live in alignment with this notion while still maintaining growth and not a feeling of complacency?
I call choices that lead to positive behavioral change "power moves." They occur in the split second it takes to rewire a synapse towards the new action or habit. Power moves can only happen in the present, in the act of doing itself. Repetition of the action strengthens the new neural connection to cement it in place. It's my way of using affirmational language to reinforce positive change.
😅😅
Thank you! Exactly what I've constantly been thinking about this past year. As a law student about to graduate, the question of career is on everybody's mouth right now and it's pressuring like crazy. Everyone is talking about the next big law firm they want to work for or trying the bar, but I'm stuck at what the meaning behind X career choice would be. It's overwhelming to think that I might end up in a meaningless career, or even worse, a counter-meaningful one, an unethical one. Sometimes it even looks like we can't fit meaning into a career. Thank you, your video helped a lot though. I know at least I'm not "unrealistic" for weighing in meaning of life and ethics in choosing the next step. And congratulations for the dog. She's so cute. She'll make a home full of memories.
Dante says: Considerate la vostra semenza: fatti non foste a viver come bruti, ma per seguir virtute e canoscenza. Consider your origins: you were not made to live as brutes, but to follow virtue and knowledge.
Thank you for this video.
I can't focus dude is too handsome
Live in present moment Surrender..accept the situation
I feel like my whole life has been about escaping the situation i was in… like i always wanted to be some other place… always somethibg not right… and i never could understand what it means to surrender… heard it so many times but could never understand how to do it… i think i understand now… thank you❤
Typical useless philosophy... Solving no actual problems but taking up a bunch of energy and wasting everyone's time with a bunch of thought experiments
But there’s also no law stating exactly what justice is, so deriving a number on how justified something is looks impossible. What law do we trust.
I would love to hear your thoughts on Lao Tzu and the Tao Te Ching. Thank you for the wisdom on Meister Eckhart.
Some of your statements made me form this concept, but let me start that this is something we have in islam, but surely everyone can learn it. It's that everything we do should have good intentions behind it, like an example, there's someone knocking on your door, we just go and open it with no intentions, but you can give yourself some good intentions either for a reason in islam or to feel good as a human, in this situation, you can think like, if there's someone who needs help, i will be helping him, if it's like a member of the family, you will greet and smile to him making some good moment in his day and etc. Your example about the pilot would make sense here, like it's not just a job or something ususal I'm doing, it's a matter of principles. Also, it's all about one's own morals and the understandable approach to humans either they are good or not. Nice talk really.💕
Life is struggle til the end isn’t it ?
The title is so toxic. I'm disabled.. i don't struggle cause i want to. You're just mean.
The Universe Blesses you all !!!
Sorry ladies. He's married 😂 Ty brotha for all you do You are an inspiration to me, to remind myself to slow down, reflect, take my time, take my breaks and every thing will fall into place 😊🎉❤
Accept what is. If you want something other than what it is, this creates suffering. I think as we get older and have been hit around the ears a few times, you naturally start to accept things are they are. You let go from from gripping tight onto the river bank and go with the flow.
I admire and love and appreciate how different you are from others
Love Marcus Aurelius- thanks for the clip 👍
I've recently come to this conclusion about myself and the adage: "Wherever you go, there you are", really holds true for me!
. .......at that moment, you have accomplished your goal. In that moment and moment only, yes, let's celebrate that successful moment 🎉 thank you very much darling
Added to the list of healthy ENTP mentors to listen to.
Какой красивый 😔🫰🏻
I like the video but I don’t understand how procrastinating the question is helpful, if I say I don’t want to answer to the officer he is definitely gonna enter my house
Your words are so practicial, it helps me ground
God is that gap that you don't unfortunately understand .I feel sorry for you. 😢😢😢
Wow. Just the Video i needed
I clicked on this video because I liked your face, bro. don't get ahead of yourself
Excellent! Then again: The imagination is part of your inner world. Thinking something is boring literally makes it boring. Be it maths or German grammar…
Thank you very much for this. I needed to hear this. I have been in turmoil for a while over something. Now I know it's my fault. I should NOT have resisted it or fought it. I repent and accept the experience that God sent me. Thank you again. ❤
Yeah I'm with the small ppl
Please entertain my hypothetical: Your child has cancer. In this case, detachment is sociopathic. The principle although simple, needs to be refined for different situations. You need to choose your fights, and calculate your chances. But imagine if someone chose to save themselves from the trouble of worrying or being sad over their child’s illness. I’ve seen many Buddhists and such go into a life of solitude, never forming “forever bonds”, because they save themselves from the trouble of being hurt from the loss of the bond. The principle of “not caring”, or stoicism, or the Dao, is really just narrative distancing and detachment. And to further clarify, detachment should only be from results, so that you can still have compassion for the act of doing.
I wish I could help and guide everyone in the world to be as gentle, caring and peaceful as you seem, I would finally be happy.
